ereks mom
We've been doing Bruchko as a read-aloud and really enjoying it. We were nearing the end of the book, and now it has gone missing! I absolutely KNOW I left the book on the coffee table in the living room on Monday after we read a chapter. On Tuesday, we ran out of time to read before HV's mom picked her up and EK had to go to drama rehearsal, so the book stayed right there on the coffee table. On Wednesday, when it was time to read, the book was gone. We have searched high and low--under cushions, behind the chairs, in the laundry basket, in the dryer, on the shelves, in the bedrooms & bathrooms, even in the pantry & refrigerator--but we cannot find the book. :( We have no animals and no little children around, so no one would've taken it and chewed it. It never leaves the house because we only read when HV is here Monday-Thursday, and we always read in the living room, so it couldn't possibly be in the car or outside. Dh knows not to bother the books we leave lying around--hey, we've been homeschooling for 16 years, and he learned that a LONG time ago. We haven't had company this week at all, so no one would've picked it up by mistake. So, where could it be??? We really want to know how it ends! Bassoonaroo
With the missing blanket from other thread. Check under sofa cushions. Tilt back big chairs and sofas to look there too. Laundry basket? Hiding in big textbooks like Apologia Physical Science? In the recycle bin that has the newspaper? In someone's bedroom near or under bed? Under bed covers? In the bag of books to take back to the library?
ereks mom
With the missing blanket from other thread. Check under sofa cushions. Tilt back big chairs and sofas to look there too. Laundry basket? Hiding in big textbooks like Apologia Physical Science? In the recycle bin that has the newspaper? In someone's bedroom near or under bed? Under bed covers? In the bag of books to take back to the library? We've already checked each and every one of those places. Dh even turned our double recliner--notorious hiding place for everything from spoons to pencils to magazines--upside down yesterday, and it wasn't there. This is a real mystery!
