annandatje
I had always thought that you had to be a member to post on forums. I was unaware that a poster could set up a guest name to post instead of actually joining a forum as a regular member. Under what circumstances does "guest" appear beneath a user name? stacycatherine
If someone deletes their account, all old posts will remain and read "guest"
annandatje
OK, but I thought that you could not delete your account. There is no option that I see for doing that.
Guest submarines
I think you can ask for your account to be deleted if you have convincing reasons (like you are being stalked). I'm not 100% sure, though.
In the Rain
:bigear: I've seen this too.

Usually the option is hidden somewhere and hard to find. I might be wrong though....
