Lucy the Valiant
If I want my kids to take the NECAP, do I have to go through public school?
Lucy the Valiant
Never mind, it's dumb question day for me. More advanced searching has answered my question. http://www.education.nh.gov/instruction/assessment/necap/admin/documents/qandafrom_sept_8_10coordwebex_final.pdf
Matryoshka
What is NECAP? Is that NH only?
Lucy the Valiant
What is NECAP? Is that NH only? I think some of the other NE states do it, too (but maybe MA only does MCAS?) It's NH's version of standardized testing.
Matryoshka
I think some of the other NE states do it, too (but maybe MA only does MCAS?) It's NH's version of standardized testing. Ah. I'm in MA - we do have MCAS, and homeschoolers are not allowed to take it (or privately schooled kids) because the entire point is to align with MA frameworks, so the test is kind of meaningless if you're not teaching to those frameworks. Interesting that in NH homeschoolers are allowed to take the state test. So some of the other NE states teamed together to make a regional NCLB test?
