ibbygirl, I am calling you out...

Recommended Posts

I believe that I am currently the boards most effective thread killer.:D

Post your best kill, and then I will post mine. :auto:

Anyone else can join, we will see who is the current Queen of Killing Threads.

For the purpose of this wager. You killed the thread if you were the last post and there was at least a month before someone added anything to it.

Also, as this is an internet forum, this is a silly game. I have picked on ibbygirl as she has an amazing sense of humor.:tongue_smilie:

This one was just painful. I was so excited and only one other person even commented. Epic Fail!

This one I got reamed for bragging about how nice the weather was here in Florida during the winter AND killed the thread. hehehe

This one I was trying to give something away for free to the boardies because I knew I couldn't use it, but didn't want to just throw it away. NOT ONE SINGLE REPLY!! Feeling like a leper now! :crying:

This one I asked a question and never got an answer. D'oh Dissed again!

Yet another thread fail!

and another

and another

and another

Okay this is truly embarrassing. Should I continue or just declare myself the winner?? :D

I'm sure my Kafkatime idea will prove to be a big fail too, but it hasn't been a full month yet. Just wait and see. I can hear the creaking of the coffin already! :D

Jen,

Perhaps you aren't a thread killer, you are just "death". You sense when threads are about to die and show up so you can escort them to wherever dead threads go.

... so where do they go?

I know I have threads I have killed, but am too lazy to search for them. However I have even more like Ibbygirl where I post and get 1-2 replies if I am lucky, many were I get none.

HEy I knew I posted about this before theday. Yo Imp you need to be on the boards more or you would have known of this science day. ;) That one isn't such a big deal though I knew I had announced it to Albertans

I was so very excited to brag about this, and got 4 replies (and 198 views)

Or how about this one again very excited. 3 replies (264 views)

Then there is this one asking for thoughts on a particular program and using it for some but something else for others, 0 replies

Or this one, asking what the heck to do with language delayed son, he is still delayed I had hoped to get help here but no dice, only 1 reply

Most of my posts about ds's leg/car crash same thing 2-3 replies.

Of course when I posted about dd4's "butt burp" I got lots of replies about other people teach their children manners rather than seeing it as the funny it was

Or I know the Bedroom search thread That one stirred it up with 32 replies and 1,302 views. Mostly my only threads that get good replies are the ones that people think make me a bad person/parent.

Not only as I know my thread about the hornets, and confessions etc have had lots of replies etc.

Funny to look back at posts from years ago, there is a ton that have few replies, I just grabbed a few. Way to make a person feel loved people. I am going to take my toys and leave this sandbox....well until snack time is over lol

That is pretty impressive.

However, think about the craziest thread last year.

I killed it

Twice

This is currently my most impressive kill

hahahaha. Twice!

Uh and my 6 y/o son just looked over my shoulder, pointed at your avatar, and said, "Can a cow really do that?"

I gave you a 4th on the whining birthday one hehe...sorry, I didn't see it earlier or I'd have responded earlier :D (Or should I be sorry I'm messing up your thread killer contest?) haha

I've killed a few myself, started threads that went unnoticed (at least half a dozen in less months), had a couple deleted, have participated in some threads where I was completely invisible, and have been the humble recipient of pity responses

Plus I started this one that was subsequently locked. http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=261818

I feel I'm a good contender for the title. We just need to expand the qualifications. Vote for me :D

Funny stuff!

I have killed a few in my time, but mostly I feel ignored. I've probably had more "hello? is this thing on? *crickets chirping*" posts than I have killed.

I happy dance around the living room the few times I've been quoted and agreed with. :D I feel so special. hehe

Sittin' back to await the real thread killer winner....:lurk5:

Philly's only like two hours from me!

You know what I love about Ibbygirl? Whenever there's a kilt thread and I go "Someone post Russell!" (Because I don't know how to put it big in the main post, I only know how to attach little tiny pics as an attachment), Ibbygirl ALWAYS comes through for me. :001_wub: Someone like that should never have to be the threadkiller! hehe! (Er, not that I'm saying Dolphin should be the threadkiller either...man, that girl called me a math guru (haha!)...no-one has ever called me a math guru...I'm never letting either of those two be the thread killers if I can help it...! hehehe)

It took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about. I was like, did I go back and look at what links? And then I just saw what you were talking about, where I said I would go back and look at links you'd posted in the 80's thread. And then I was like, er, oops, I don't think I ever did go back and look at them LOL. So, I just did now hehe. That first one (do YOU remember which songs they were?), the Peek A Boo one, I don't think I've ever even heard! The second one, Jump, was like my very favorite song ever in sixth grade haha. I had a huge crush on David Lee Roth back then. Of course, you didn't post the Bon Jovi one specifically for me, but I loved him, too, back then and for quite a few years thereafter! :D

Ay, the first song was Tom Tom Club that's why I said "skating anyone?" They used to always play that one in the skating rinks back then. :) I found another one on YT.

It's the long version, but the radio versions had the sound disabled.

Ay mija! I dedicated a whole post to Bon Jovi!!! Keep looking. That thread is sad. The last like 5 pages of it are me alone posting songs. It's quite sad really!! :001_huh:
