Forget-Me-Not 4,006
Where can I find a non-tension shower curtain rod that is NOT curved? I just want one with flanges I can screw into the wall. Something like a closet rod, where the rod can come out of the flanges if needed. I'm tired of tension rods messing with my paint job. MaMa2005 21
Just saw some in Lowe's and Home Depot.
Forget-Me-Not 4,006
Just saw some in Lowe's and Home Depot. Really? I looked at Lowe's the other day and they were all tensions, except for one which was too short (that's the other part of this--I need one that is about 6' long). I'll have to check their website. Tap 12,953
I wonder if you could use the little plastic circles that are used for closet rods, but use a tension rod instead. The circle will protect the paint and give the rod a specific spot to bottom-out.
Kebo 474
Would this work? http://www.signaturehardware.com/product14124
DarlaS 528
Would this work? http://www.signaturehardware.com/product14124 That's brilliant. My dh is forever tossing his towel over the curtain bar. This would eliminate the rust stains and save space (in a bathroom that is TINY and currently used by three people). I'd have to cut it down, but that would be easy.
Forget-Me-Not 4,006
I think I found one at Lowe's. Thanks all!

It comes in 4 other sizes as well!
DarlaS 528
It comes in 4 other sizes as well! I didn't see that. I just saw options for finishes. I already have a (far) less expensive diy option in mind for this. I'm thinking I will use some of those closet tubes and the little end caps, but install one slightly lower and forward (but not where you could bonk your head on it).
