All About Reading, if you please. What is covered in each level? What do you need? What is a typical lesson like? Do you use AAR along with AAS? Are your children making progress without crying? Is it clear? Would you use it again? Are the readers fun? ANd anything else you can think of.

Thanks!

I haven't used it myself, but I'll give your post a bump! There are 2 levels right now, Pre-1 and 1. Pre-1 is a pre-reading program that covers the Big 5 Skills of Print Awareness, Phonological Awareness, Letter Knowledge, Listening Comprehension, and Motivation to Read. The sample TM might give you an idea of what the lessons are like, and you can see the other book samples online too. Here's a checklist to see if you should start there or with Level 1. Level 1 teaches cvc words, consonant blends, short vowel compound words and some open syllable words, as well as a few sight words. You can see a complete list of the words taught as well as the scope & sequence at the back of the sample Level 1 TM. You can also see samples of the readers and activity book online.

Complete AAR 1 (or the equialent) first before adding in the spelling program. HTH some & hope you get other answers, Merry :-)

Just to start with. If you go into search and go for advance search. Type just AAR in the search field and search titles only. It is a fairly new program, when it first came out there was a lot of threads on it, and it wasn't that long ago.

Best of luck, they are both good programs
