iona
We will be starting a study on plants with my 1st grader to finish out our year. What were your favorite books for learning about plants? My 1st grader reads pretty well when he is interested. Thanks
ekfk
My kids love the Winnie the Pooh Nature encyclopedia. It has a huge amount of information with some about plants. And it's fun reading. The DK Nature encyclopedia is also really good and has a lot of information about plants. DK has an encyclopedia about plants but it might be a bit too advanced for a 1st grader. Mommee & Baba
We haven't cracked the spine on this one yet as it's something we will get into towards the last 8-10 weeks of our school year. http://www.amazon.com/Plant-Parts-Plants-Louise-Spilsbury/dp/1432915061 It's BRIGHT, colorful, and very informative. It's not OVER the top descriptive either making it very adaptable for young learners.
