Hello everyone! I am currently using (and LOVING!!!) Telling God's Story year 1. I remember seeing last year that they were expecting to release year 2 sometime early this year but I haven't heard any buzz about it. I will be so completely disappointed if they're not putting out year two!! It's the best Bible curriculum I've seen by a wide margin! Does anyone know if/when year 2 is coming out?? I want it so bad!

Hi, Mindy. :)

This is the last I heard about publication dates at the Olive Branch Books blog, which says that the print version is supposed to be available in February. But maybe someone else has a more recent update.

ETA: The FB page says that the books went to the printer on January 5th. That has to be a good sign, doesn't it? :)

Hi all,

Thank you for your enthusiasm about the "Telling God's Story" curriculum! That's gratifying for us to see.

A quick update, which will also be going onto our Facebook page and blog this week:

"Telling God's Story, Year 2 Instructor Text" is at the printer, being prepped for printing. I just saw the proofs last Friday and they look wonderful!

The Activity Book for "Telling God's Story, Year 2" is at the typesetter. After that, it'll have one more quality-check and then it, too, will go to the printer.

We are planning to offer PDF versions of both these books for sale, on our webstore, sometime in the first half of March (we'll announce the exact date on Facebook and on these forums). When we put those up, we'll also post free samples of the first few lessons to our site.

The print versions should be available from our store sometime in late March (and at Amazon by April).

Thank you for your patience during this long production process.

Would it be useful/helpful if I posted a Table of Contents for Year 2 on this forum? Let me know.

A table of contents is great just to increase exposure and to show to other interested parents, but I don't need see one in order to buy year two, my husband and I are all in as far as Telling God's Story is concerned. i couldn't be more positive about it! I love the whole thing--the parent guide, the activity guide, the philosophy--the whole deal. I know not everyone is a fan, but seriously i'd wait in a line to shake Peter Enn's hand (and the rest of you who worked on this project) and so sincerely thank him (and you all) for putting this wonderful, simple, brilliant God-honoring resource out there. If I could explain how big of a deal it is for me to know that this resource is out there as apposed to the way I was taught, I think everyone would use it!! Thank you thank you!!!!

How long does it take to complete a Bible lesson?

Cabreban,

A lesson takes about 15-20 minutes to read/speak to a child. We suggest that people do one lesson a week...they could be done more rapidly, but that seems to be a good pace. Some people have the child color the coloring page from the Activity Book while they are listening to the lesson being read, and then the next day they do one of the follow-up activities from the Activity Book, etc.

Hope that is helpful.

Justin
