1Togo
I began this year planning to use MFW AHL, but for a variety of reasons, we are only using parts of it. However, we are using other resources, and dd is putting together an ancient history and literature notebook. The work is going so well that I want to continue what we are doing next year. However, since she's not taking textbook tests other than a few quizzes in one resource, I am wondering how to assign a grade. MFW AHL gives a history grade based on points - 100 total points with 25 points for maps, 20 points for the timeline book, 30 points for essays, etc. If you are doing or have done something like WTM for history; i.e. notebooks with essays, maps, narrations, timelines, etc., how do you assign grades if you don't have typical textbook tests? Do you even bother with some type of points system or rubrics? Edited January 21, 2012 by 1Togo
