TravelingChris Posted January 19, 2012 Share Posted January 19, 2012 DD was just invited to join the Alpha Lambda Delta honor society. The only deal is that we should go to her initiation (April 1) and then we need to travel back about a week later to see her research conference. It is a six hour round trip so I hope dh can come so I don't have to drive it all. I don't think my youngest will be wanting to drive yet on highways where the speed limit is 70. memphispeg Posted January 20, 2012 Share Posted January 20, 2012 I'm so proud of your dd!!! You could have the youngest drive on the backroads for an hour or so. That's how I used to catch a break when traveling with the dds. Kids "tire" easily when driving, an hour is about all they can handle. I wanted to echo the sentiments of Creekland that maybe you could create a vacation out of this and maybe spread the driving out over a 2 days by stopping along the way and investigating some potential learning opportunities along the way.
