TracyR
Just wondering what your favorite phonics apps for 1st/2nd grader would be. I hate it when I buy an app to find it doesn't work, isn't fun and is totally boring.

KristenR
I really like Starfall. I know you can access the website for free but I believe I heard they sold an app as well. If it is anything like the website I would pay a couple bucks for it.
SnMomof7
There is a Starfall app but it is just the short sounds of the alphabet which might be too simple for this age :). Cimo Spelling has a lot of levels, Simplex Spelling is great (but not really 'fun' or gamey), Montessori Crosswords and Word Wizard are both very good. There is a lot more for K level phonics than there is for later phonics, but those are some good ones to check out. Lite versions for Cimo and Simplex so you can try those out. eloquacious
Preschool University (perhaps a misnomer, as the series goes from short vowels and will eventually cover probably to a 2nd grade level), magic spelling and magic reading apps, as well as ABC magic apps. Simplex Spelling has already been mentioned. Pocket Phonics is also awesome.
