bethanyjoy
I've heard many people say that the skills learned in HOD are wonderful. What exactly are these skills? Are they things that can be learned using other curriculum? If so, which kind -- Language Arts? Thanks, Bethany
lotsofpumpkins
My dc in Preparing are learning how to write narrations, keep a vocabulary notebook, make a timeline, etc. They are all great skills, but now that I've learned the "formula", I could make sure these skills are covered even if we weren't using HOD. If you are talking about younger levels, I know that learning to listen to longer books with few/no pictures is a skill that is often mentioned. But my dc already have that "skill" because they are used to being read to from long books without pictures. :001_smile:
