Ottakee Posted January 16, 2012 Share Posted January 16, 2012 Dh and I are hoping to get away for an overnight in 2 weeks when my best friend is here from Alaska for a few weeks. Just wondering where we should try. We aren't really bed and breakfast people. Dh would rather just blend into the woodwork, not have to make polite conversation with others, etc. so many of the small B&B or small inn type places are out. We would like a good breakfast in the morning---Embassy Suites as a really good one but doesn't have to be that good. Ideally we would also like a 2 person LARGE whirlpool tub/jacuzzi in the room. Any chain type hotels to try? We don't have an exact location in mind but likely within 2 to maybe 3 hours from West Michigan as it is winter and weather can be questionable. Jennifer in MI Posted January 16, 2012 Share Posted January 16, 2012 We stayed at the JW Marriott in downtown Grand Rapids last year and LOVED it! It's very nice.
