abbeyej
Dd needs new swimsuits. In the past, we were very happy with Lands' End because of the nice long tops. But this past year, the cut changed and I've not been as happy with the overall quality and sizing on my last few orders. Where else can I find decent quality tankinis for little girls that are fashionable (dd will be 10) without being styled for kids-who-can't-wait-to-be-teens? I prefer styles that cover most of the tummy. I guess I'm looking for a size 7 or 8? Possibly a "slim".
KarenC
We found some at Justice last summer for my 9, 12, and 14 yo dds. Karen
*Lulu*
The past two years Targert and Osh Gosh have had good suits. My kids swim year round, and the suits from last spring still look like new. HTH
catz
Sometimes Hannah Anderson has that style of swimsuit. My daughter is wearing one at the moment. The bottom has a skirt to it and it's very cute! Edited to say, a 7/8 would probably equate to a 130 (that's what my 7 year old is just getting into and they're a little big). Lisbeth
Kate Mack used to make really cute ones, probably still does.
nukeswife
My dd used to love tankinis but this past summer she started going with the suits that have the tankini bottoms and a rash guard shirt. She loves those because the rash guard provides more sun protection and you can find some really cute ones. Oops almost forgot to say we usually find them at Target. MHowell
We just got one for K at Target. Her suit from last year was from Justice.
LibraryLover
LL Bean has them as well. This catalogue has a suit they call a Swim Mini Set that might work. http://www.cwdkids.com/servlet/quagga/girls/swimwear/silo.jsp/_qprm_/browse?&psize=64 There are 'Surf Suits' here: http://www.bodenusa.com/en-US/Girls-Swimwear.html Edited January 14, 2012 by LibraryLover
catz
I also got a catalog for garnet hill today that had some adorable, more modest tankinis in it that would be appropriate for a 10 year old (not too little girlish). But they are expensive! http://www.garnethill.com/ A couple examples. http://www.garnethill.com/upf-50-2b-boy-short-tankini-by-snapper-rock---girls/kids-clothing/girls-4-14/swimwear/240371 http://www.garnethill.com/t-back-tankini-by-ondademar---girls/kids-clothing/girls-4-14/swimwear/240397
Riverland
We LOVE these speedo tankinis, and they are currently on clearance at JCPenney for $11! http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/XGN.aspx?SearchString=speedo+tankini&submit+search.x=0&submit+search.y=0&JSEnabled=false&mscssid=&cmResetCat=true&hdnOnGo=true
