bethanyjoy
We are currently using McRuffy's Phonics Kindergarten program, but I am thinking about changing and not using their first grade program for next year. Do you all think using Progressive Phonics and AAS would be enough (as far as teaching a child how to read, spell, etc.)? Would I need to add something else? If so, what? Thanks, Bethany
momsuz123
I was using that with my 6 y/o. I think for a lot of kids that would be a good start. I guess it depends on how quick you kiddo catches on. My older one would have done wonderful with those two combined. My younger one is needing a little more help. MorganClassicalPrep
That's what I'm using with my DD5. We tried both OPGTR and 100EZ and DD hated both. Now we are using primarily Progressive Phonics and AAS, and occasionally getting out the BOB book sets and Nora Gaydos readers from the library for more fun. It seems to be working well.
