heidip2p
We want to work on some issues (kindness, cheerfulness, obedience) and what not. Can you suggest a program we can use as a family? I was thinking about We Choose Virtues but I am not toally sure. Any ideas would be great:D
caedmyn
http://www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com/?s=character I don't know if this is the sort of thing you're looking for, but I like her free 10 week character study thing. It says "10 days" on the website but IDK why because each trait has a four day schedule. She has a review of We Choose Virtues too... 3peasinapod
How about the free study called Kids of Integrity? Its from Focus on the Family Canada. It has activities, games, prayer, Bible reading and discussion. Its very well done, and you can spend as long as you want on any given character trait. Hunter
You might want to take a look at Students of the Word curriculum. It focuses on discipleship and using the Bible as a textbook. This Carnal vs Spiritual chart is used a lot. More charts. SOW Curriculum Many people just use the Bible study resources, or just the Bible and English. It's a bit pricey, and few people stick with it as a complete k-12 curriculum...but...I think everyone who has ever used it, has taken something fundamental from it--especially the Carnal/Spiritual chart--even when they choose to move on to other resources. If you download a few studies and look through them, you'll see what I mean. It's a lot to do, so we just pick and choose the lessons/activities that fit best for us.
