BamaTanya
Days later. :001_huh: It is nasty in there. How would you clean it? Do you put water bottles into your dishwasher? Should I soak it in bleach? I need to instruct my children to use water bottles for water!
LMA
Soak it in dish detergent and hot water. We have stainless steel hydration bottles (keeps the liquid cold without ice) and the directions say not to use the dishwasher. I would not put bleach because you are drinking from it, but I might soak it with a little dishwasher detergent (such as Cascade, which is bleach like) and hot water. tmulcahy
I have one of those sponges on a stick that I use for water bottles. I recommend soaking it in dish soap and hot water, then scrub, scrub, scrub. At least it was not milk:ack2:
KS_
I put ours in the dishwasher, but they are Klean Kanteens with just one layer of stainless steel. Dh has also used ice and salt inside (fill it halfway full of ice cubes and add some salt) and then you shake well :) He said the restaurants he used to work at would use that method to clean out containers.
