4ofus
Have you guys heard of this? I've been seeing it promoted at the library desk & finally asked about it. They gave me this huge list of topics & told me how to search for them & reserve them. We picked up our first one today. It's a little (gps sized) video player pre-loaded with specific content. The one we got was Greek Mythology for Students 2. It has 115 mins of video content & says it is for grades 4-8. There are 5 different videos. Constellation Myths, The Trojan War, Nature Myths, Defying the Gods, & The Journeys of Odysseus. It's easy, portable & a cool presentation for kids. There are videos on math, science, history, & literature. There are even Elmo videos & such for the pre-school set. These are cool! I just thought I'd let y'all know in case you want to check your library. While we LOVE books here, we love gadgets too :). We travel quite a lot & this seems like it will be so so useful on a plane or long car ride! Anyway, google Playaway View to read more about them & find out if your library has them! Good luck! swellmomma
I will be watching this thread. The moby dick audio recording I put on hold at our library is on playaway. I had never heard of it before. Now to see if they have anything that is playaway view that sounds really cool.
