Bensmom
I feel so wasteful throwing out all that juicer pulp! I used some in muffins, but besides composting what can you do with pulp? I'm thinking I need to get worms to justify my waste. So what do you do with your juicer pulp???
Jennifer3141
My worms gets ours and I also add the non-seedy stuff to my dogs' raw food. :001_smile:
bnrmom
My mom laid hers out to dry, and then did various things with it - composted it in her plant containers, ground it up and added it to baked goods, fed it to the birds, etc.
laughing lioness
Nancy Campbell's dd (of Above Rubies) has a book on raw eating and she dehydrates her pulp into chips and other stuff.
Lara in Colo
I am thinking of making sure to separate the fruit from the veggie pulp and use the veggie pulp in a soup. I think that I should suppliment the veggie juice with a veggie/lentil soup--maybe even add some chicken sometimes. Lara
Bang!Zoom!
If you want to really look like a rock star with the leftovers, make some compound butters with them. http://tastykitchen.com/blog/2010/02/compound-butter/
amy g.
I feed ours to the pig. If I didn't have a pig, I would just compost it.

Myeightkiddies
My worms gets ours and I also add the non-seedy stuff to my dogs' raw food. :001_smile: For some reason that made me laugh out loud, though it makes perfect sense. I guess I pictured worms begging for pulp in the same way my fat chihuahuas beg for practically anything. Well, shaving my rabbits' butts made you laugh too so you need to come over for coffee and some varmint wrestling someday!
Bensmom
OMG What would I do without you ladies! It didn't even occur to me that I could be feeding it to the deer. Sorry, we have no pigs or chickens (still contemplating worms), but we have an abundance of deer. I feel less wasteful already....now if I could just figure out how to dehydrate it in chips for the fam....
