DomesticDiva
Can anyone compare the Chakerian Geometry, "Geometry: A Guided Inquiry" program through Math Without Borders with Discovering Geometry by Key Curriculum Press (Kendall Hunt)? Thanks in advance. CW
Sunshine State Sue
I can't really compare. We used Discovering Geometry last year. I liked it because it was more hands-on than most Geometry programs. It is lite on proofs if that matters to you. Solutions manual is available. Ds did very well on the ACT. FWIW, I have a degree in math, though Geometry was the only math class I hated.
DomesticDiva
Hi Sue, Thanks for responding. On the Math Without Borders website it's stated that there are "project" problems included in the text and or the CD. Does Discovering Geometry have project problems? Thanks again. Sunshine State Sue
Does Discovering Geometry have project problems? Have you seen the samples here? They do have activities they label "investigations" and "projects". See the project on page 24/52 of the Ch 5 student edition. HTH!
