Remudamom
Downton Abbey? Should I just go ahead and buy it or is there somewhere I can watch it?
Matryoshka
It'll be out on PBS soon. I'm waiting - rather not pay if I can watch it for free. :) Just looked it up - starts Jan. 8th.
Kristiana
Fast pass tv has links to all the episodes. We just finished watching the Christmas special!
Beth S
I believe you can purchase DA Season 1 DVD on Amazon, or watch it on Netflix streaming. This is the uncut UK version. PBS trimmed about 2 hours of it for the US audience. The second episode of Season 1 is being re-broadcast on PBS Masterpiece this week. They will show all of Season 1, then start Season 2. It is also available online (for a limited time) on the PBS website. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/watch/index.html The 2nd season will be broadcast in the US (on PBS Masterpiece) in Jan. 2012. Since it was previously broadcast in the UK, there are some unauthorized Internet sources of Season 2 for those who are impatient.

PBS trimmed about 2 hours of it for the US audience. Not true. The claim made by a British journalist was false, as he failed to account for the commercials that were included when it ran in the UK but not on Masterpiece. It was slightly edited to fit the Masterpiece time slot, but the cuts were minor and certainly didn't add up to 2 hours.
