Baseball mom
Do you have to have Wi-Fi to be able to download books to a $79 Kindle? Can you plug it into your computer and download books? Thanks
TheHomeScientist
You can do it either way. Just plug the cable that came with the Kindle into the Kindle and your PC. A directory window will pop up. You can transfer ebook files that you've downloaded to your computer directly to the Kindle. Then choose the option to remove the Kindle safely, and disconnect it (assuming you don't want to leave it connected to charge the battery). When you power the Kindle up, it will notice the new titles and display them on the home screen.
