If it's at all like my house, you'll hear constant references to Dr. Who. Yesterday at church, eating cookies prompted a Dr. Who reference! BigMamaBird
Just don't watch the "Are you my Mummy?" episode then expect not to completely freak out when a little one wakes you up by looming next to your bed in the middle of the night! I can watch scary movies and be fine, but Holy Cow! That episode did me in for some reason!
goldberry
You will only reclaim their attention once they have finished watching EVERY SINGLE EPISODE available multiple times until their eyes glaze over. Then, that will be replaced by, "I have to wait a whole year for the next episodes??!!??" and "When is the Christmas episode again?" "Christmas." "Oh yeah." ...along with the constant Who references everyone mentioned.
aggieamy
Little and her cousin are hooked. Seriously half the stuff under the tree has a Doctor Who theme and yesterday they had a handmade gift of a Doctor Who bookmark for me. DH is in our basement right now painting the door to their closet to look like a TARDIS as a Christmas present. Just a warning ... you'll be hooked too. It's a great show. I can watch scary movies and be fine, but Holy Cow! That episode did me in for some reason! I watched the Top Gear episode with Christopher Eccleston as the Star in the Reasonably-Priced car. Eccleston said that was one of the scariest episodes they did. He said it was a bit difficult to not make it too scary. is the interview if anyone wants to see it. Weird. We love Dr. Who - although, to be honest - I'm not really enjoying the new ones.

Yesterday at church, eating cookies prompted a Dr. Who reference! :iagree: We introduced our older dd's friends to the Doctor and now everywhere we go we are quoting him left and right! Yup. Just wave around a sonic screwdriver when giving instructions. That might work. I could let you know after Christmas, there are two under the tree. Little and her cousin are hooked. I am not telling my dd's about the TARDIS door. We also have numerous Doctor related gifts under the tree. It really is great family fun! You don't get that much anymore ;) Edited December 22, 2011 by Angel
PrincessMommy
It is the episode where we are introduced to Capt. Jack Harkness. :001_wub: I remember that one now. I guess it wasn't as scary to me... the one that scared me the most was "Blink". Loved Capt. Jack But the other one I think about a lot was the one with Donna - I think it was called "Turn Left" She has some ghastly thing hanging off her back but she can't see it. I really liked the message of that one.

PrincessMommy
Yeah, me too. They say you never forget your first doctor. :D LOL - this will date me but my favorite is Tom Baker. But, I do like Eccleston over Tennent. I think Eccleston's Dr. was very well done. I wished he hadn't been so miserable and could have stayed longer. Pippen
 That might work. I could let you know after Christmas, there are two under the tree. ;) We have two under the tree as well (plus a poster and a t-shirt). We'll have to compare notes afterwards. Good news for the fans! Doctor Who was the most downloaded show on itunes in 2011! http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/worldwide/091211dwitunes.html
