Cinder
My kids are so disappointed that it will be warm (upper 50's) for Christmas this year, which means no chance of snow. It might rain, though. Last year we got Christmas snow, which is unusual for GA. But the past years have at least been cold. They're feeling very un-Christmas-ish with all this warm weather. Since I grew up in HI, where a cold Christmas meant temps in the low 70's, I'm not too sympathetic. Will it be a white Christmas where you are? lotsofpumpkins
Nope. We are in north FL. Last year we actually had a TINY bit of snow the day after Christmas, but you had to stare really hard to see it as it fell, and it didn't stick. :)
Susann
Nope:glare: Bright, sunny & 50s here now & 40ish Christmas day. We had a beautiful white Christmas in central Indiana last year so it's very disappointing! But, at least, it'll make traveling easier and safer for everyone. kiwi mum
Nope. I've never had a white Christmas. This will be my second Christmas is the northern hemisphere, all the rest have been summer. We will have a high of about 75 and overnight low of 60 which is cold for here.
MtnTeaching
Even here in the area of Colorado I am in will not have new snow on Christmas. We have a few showers this week, but "no significant accumulation". Bummer.
Virg
According to this: http://www.weather.com/outlook/weather-news/news/articles/white-christmas-outlook_2011-11-17?cm_ven=PPCgoogle&cm_cat=winter&cm_pla=white_christmas&cm_ite=white_christmas It is likely we will have a white Christmas
ChristusG
North Florida....here the best we dream of is a cold Christmas since a white Christmas is pretty much impossible. This year is supposed to be around 70. :glare:
bluemongoose
Not unless you count hard frost and fog. That is about at white as we are likely to get!:tongue_smilie:
catz
I am in MN and we typically get a white Christmas. Last year, we had a TON of snow at this time. Today it is 45 and sunny. It feels like April. So strange! I would be shocked if we get hit with any snow before next week at this point. Mild weather week predicted. Parrothead
We had snow. Then it rained and it all melted. If we don't get some this week we will have our first green/brown Christmas in 10 years.
athena1277
N. VA here. No snow expected. Actually, i'm not expecting much snow this winter period. Why? Because Santa is finally bringing the kids a sled. :tongue_smilie:
TravelingChris
No, but I am happy. After the three years of mega snow falls and ice storms in No VA, I am really happy to be here and not having bad weather in winter.

Mommy22alyns
No white Christmas, though we had one last year and a white Thanksgiving too! Very unusual. Our high is supposed to be about 44 on Christmas. I have a hard time getting in the mood when the weather is warm too.

JessieC
I don't think so. I blame global warming for my lack of holiday spirit this year.
Dustybug
Not unless there is some giant freak blizzard. Two days ago, I had my windows open and we were all wearing short sleeves, enjoying the 67 degree weather. We're in the foothills of the NC mtns. :tongue_smilie:
Desert Rat
Not in Vegas. It has happened though. I don't think it will this year. I was happy that it rained today!
sewingmama
 No - it would be a Christmas miracle if we got snow. DH would be in seventh heaven though -silly Canadian :D
Catwoman
Will it be a white Christmas where you are? I hope not. I hate snow. I also hate the power failures that often come along with it. (Yes, I'm still bitter about spending a week in a hotel after the snowstorm back in October. :glare:)
georgialee
No :( It's supposed to be 50 degrees here in E. TN.
Heather in Neverland
Quite the opposite since I live on the face of the sun. :tongue_smilie: It will be 90 degrees with 90% humidity, sunshine and blue skies.... Just like every other day of the year. ETA: I am perfectly happy with it too. I hate cold and snow and ice and slush and gray skies....brrrrr Edited December 19, 2011 by Heather in NC

Karen in CO
:( Not here. Snow tomorrow, but none predicted for Christmas. On the bright side, the ski resorts have it and that's where we're going!
MamaT
No snow here for Christmas. We are in the mountains of NC.
JessicaLady
Nope! Although it will be cool for here - 50ish. It's not at all typical for Central TX to get snow anyway. I hate to imagine what would happen to us if we did get it tho. My town FREAKS out over the possibility of just rain. You know, that wet stuff that falls from the sky elsewhere but rarely does here. gardenmom5
snow on the ground at christmas is rare. white christmas's are even (defined as snowing on christmas day) are more rare. (we did in 2008 - for a total of 22" on the ground. Not much to some places but we were effectivelly snowed in.) I'd settle for enough snow to play in this winter. I'm not optimistic. Starr
This may be the first year without snow that our children remember. They are not happy!
Laura in STL
Not in Vegas. It has happened though. I don't think it will this year. I was happy that it rained today! The year I got married my sister took about half the wedding party with her to Vegas for two days just before the wedding. There was a winter storm and they all missed the rehearsal, but made it back for the wedding. I got married on Dec 30, so it missed Christmas, but was a white New Year! It was 60 today here, so not expecting a white Christmas. We had snow on Christmas Day last year, which doesn't happen too often. A white Christmas was all dd9 asked for last year, because she couldn't remember one. I was so worried she would be disappointed, then woke up to beautiful snow! KellieMI
We live in MI and have only had a few dustings! My boys are very disappointed. They are ready for some snow forts and snowball fights! I am ok with the delay because I know it's coming.
Denisemomof4
we finally got our cold weather a few days back, but no.... no snow. Everything looks dead and ugly. It is hard to feel like Christmas with no snow!!! The year we got a snowmobile as a family gift for Christmas, we never got snow that entire season. IN NEW ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!! The boys got to sit on the snowmobile and start it. That was all. What fun.:glare: Personally, I love snow. I really wish we'd get some on the ground. I have only a couple months to try my snowshoes to see if they're going to work for me.
Mommy_of_4
Nope, it is going to be in the 50's. Crazy Oklahoma Weather!
lailasmum
No its supposed to be quite warm this coming week. Its been a warm winter so far considering we have only had 2 frosts yet this time last year had heavy snow and a alot of ice the last 2 weeks of dec. I remember my sister having real trouble getting here because of the weather, she is highly unlikely to have the same problem this year.
