Farrar
A man coming off the subway wearing tall black lace up boots, some serious black leather jacket, black sunglasses, a reasonable amount of piercings, a mohawk that was long and braided down the back and a black KILT. Oh, and he was carrying a pink Hello Kitty lunchbox. And I thought of you all and your kilt obsession... which is clearly not right sometimes. Just sayin'. I wish I had a picture. MamaT
My 18yo saw a very tall man in a kilt at the mall last week, also wearing very high heeled women's shoes.

Mynyel
That is a visual fit for pintrest and any other place you can put it. All I can say is... Camera phone! :D I have a 8megapixel camera in my phone. *sigh* I never see anything worth taking a picture of. Well aside from kids. Farrar
Someone out there is probably laughing at my fashion choices too, to balance the scales here. But he really was a character. I do wish I had a picture. The kids were waiting to go down because they were finishing a cookie (no food in the subway + children who are sticklers for rules = a family who can't even get on the escalator while we finish chewing) so I'd been chatting with the paper guy so at least I got to have a chuckle about it with him. dragons in the flower bed
Most of my experiences with kilts have been with Pagan festivals, where people often consider clothing optional. So when I saw your thread title I immediately imagined that you saw kilt content and was grossed out on your behalf.

joannqn
There is a business called "Men in Kilts". They do window cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, siding cleaning. Their uniform is a black shirt and green plaid kilt. The FAQ has the question "Do you really wear kilts?" You'll love the answer.
Farrar
The "Squire on the Wire" act at the Ren Festival here is a guy who wears a kilt and some of his jokes revolve around people inevitably looking up the kilt as he walks the wire. There are strange boxer shorts involved every year. That's authentically Renaissance, right?

Catwoman
Santa Claus driving down my street in a firetruck. Is he wearing a kilt? Because that's something I really do not want to see.
