Robin M
A 5th grade teacher in the small town of Quinhagak, Alaska got his students and whole town involved in a wonderful christmas project. Check it out.
butterflymommy
That's adorable! The apostrophes for plurals were painful though. It reminds me of a sloppy version of North Korea's mass games: The image in the background isn't a video screen-- it's 20,000 school children flipping cards in unison. FairProspects
Was this a public school? While I think it is incredible, how on earth were they allowed to perform it? My mom is a ps music teacher and she was not allowed to use even fir trees undecorated in her choir performances and she got in trouble/had kids pulled from singing the song "Up on the Housetop". Every other song had to be about mittens or snow or gingerbread. My mom would have gotten fired for something like the Hallelujah Chorus even if it was on a weekend! butterflymommy
Was this a public school? While I think it is incredible, how on earth were they allowed to perform it? I wondered the same thing! There were a few scenes that looked like they were filmed in a church-- maybe this was not officially a school project, and the teacher got permission to do a private project with the students? Robin M
It is a rural public school. They did it on their own time on a weekend.
