milovany
WOW. Thank you. What an amazing retelling (adaptation?) of "The Miracle Worker." For those interested: click here. It's a story about a deaf-blind woman that parallels Helen Keller's story, but set in modern day India. The cinematography in this film is stunning; I'd really love to see it on a big screen. The role of Teacher is different in this film. In this story, Teacher is a man older than the young woman's father. What happens as he falls into old age plays into the story in the end, and it's endearing and heart breaking at the same time, yet what a wonderful ending. Highly recommend! (I streamed it from Amazon; Netflix doesn't have it as a streaming option). Edited December 16, 2011 by milovaný
