abrightmom
DS9 is using MM3. He is doing fine in math but is never challenged to think. Math comes easily for him. I'd like to add the Singapore supplements with the hopes of stretching him. How do I place him? :001_smile:
Crimson Wife
I would take a look at the Singapore S&S and then see which topics correlate to MM3. Singapore 3A does cover long division, which I don't believe is in MM until one of the 4th grade books. But I'm not 100% sure about that. ErinE
I would recommend the CWP2 if he's doing MM3 right now. DS is nearly done with SM3B and he's slowly working through CWP3. It's a bear as it requires a lot of pre-algebraic thinking. My son can see the solution when we work on the problems together, but I couldn't hand him the book and walk away. I've moved him to the level below so he can get confidence and experience with the word problems with easier mathematics. From now on, we'll probably do CWP a level behind simply because as the title says, the problems are challenging. Many times, I've had to ponder for a bit to see the solution. Mama2two
I agree with CWP 2 and you could probably do IP 2B
