I agree. However, I am not talking about skipping tithing altogether, but only for a season. For example, there have been times when dh & I were praying for God to meet our need because we didn't have enough money to pay our mortgage or even to buy food. God did provide--exactly enough to cover food and bills, and no more. We could.not.afford. to tithe and still pay the bills we believe God had sent exactly enough provision to cover. So we paid our bills and did not tithe for a time. For us, this was a temporary situation. When things got better for us later on, we resumed tithing, and actually gave more than 10%.
