AlmiraGulch
Ok, so I need white elephant gift ideas, too. This time for adults. We're having one at my house this Sunday and I can't think of anything clever. I'm usually really good at this stuff, but my brain is just fried. It has to be somehow related to a Christmas carol, and it has to be funny or clever. Not normal. Here's what I thought......I was going to wrap up some Tylenol PM, some chamomile tea and a sleep mask. "Sleep in Heavenly peace." It's ok, but kind of boring. There may or may not be a grand prize for the person who contributes the most creative gift, and we may or may not have quite a lot of sibling rivalry in my family, so this could or could not be very, very important. I'm not saying. ;)
angela in ohio
Jingle bells Rudolph cookies (peanut butter cookies with pretzel antlers and M&M nose and eyes)
Cinder
A deck of cards + a package of Halls cough drops + sprigs of holly = Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly ETA: don't know if this would go over well in your group, but you could put a can of beer in a Christmas tree to represent the Bob & Doug McKenzie style. Amber in SJ
Ear plugs, earmuffs or ear warmer thingies for "Silent Night" A poker set with a king removed out of the deck of cards for "We Three Kings." A set of Irish Coffee mugs for "Here We Come A Wassailing" Men's PJs or a pillow for "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" Set of reusable grocery bags or any item for going green & saving the planet like a cool water bottle or travel coffee mug for "Joy to the World." A picture like this one: http://dna-rna.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/parental-dna-testing.jpg in a cute frame (the frame is the gift) for "What Child is This?" I'll keep thinking Amber in SJ

Amber in SJ
Magnifying glass, reading glasses from the drug store or kaleidoscope for "Do You See What I See?" Bottle of rum for "Little Drummer Boy" (pa- RUM-pa- pum-pum) My kids say no one but me would think the picture of a paternity test for "What Child is This?" is funny. Oh well.
