ThelmaLou
My oldest two boys took this back in October, but I haven't heard yet from the school where they took it. Anyone else hear back or know how/when you'll hear? Will it be by mail or phone? I'm hoping they send out info. before the Christmas break instead of after. Running the race
We received the scores last week in CA. My son used the homeschool code.
ThelmaLou
Where did you get the "homeschool code"? Is it specific to CA, or is it a Nationwide thing?
Running the race
Where did you get the "homeschool code"? Is it specific to CA, or is it a Nationwide thing? Each state has a homeschool code to use when taking the PSAT. The student puts in on the form when taking the test. The scores were mailed to our house. Tressa
My son used the homeschool code as well, but we have not received his results yet.
Teachin'Mine
Thelma if you sons didn't use the homeschool code, then you may want to call the school where they took the test to see if they have their results. I'd also call College Boards, if one's a junior and his score is high, to let them know he didn't put the homeschool code.
Barb_
You may have to physically park yourself in front of someone's desk. When my oldest took her PSAT's, the school erased the homeschool code and put their school code on its place. The scores floated around for months and it took until March for me to finally have them mailed to me.
ThelmaLou
Well, I just spoke with someone at the school, and they do have the scores in. She said she'd mail them to me tomorrow. She said they were "coded" when sent in to the College Board as homeschool students, but she said the results came back to her with our boys marked as private school students. When I get these in the mail from her, should I call the College Board to correct their student status? My boys are a sophomore and freshman. I wouldn't worry about it since they aren't in their NMSQT year, but be sure to use your state's homeschool code when the boys are Juniors.
