NikkiMarieLG
and I can't figure out how it differs from a phonics program. I am completing the McRuffy phonics program with my 1st grade son and this seems very similar:confused: McRuffy even has spelling quizzes. Any thoughts? I was about to order the next McRuffy phonics level but I don't want to overlap.
boscopup
It is a phonics-based spelling program. A reading program will usually go faster than a spelling program. In AAS, it will be a while before you hit some of the phonograms.
3peasinapod
Also, AAS doesn't do a lot of reading practice like a phonics reading program would do. It focuses not on decoding like reading, but encoding for spelling.
