A friend had asked me to babysit (this is a happy babysitting story I hope ;)) and although I wouldn't normally agree to do it on a school day this is a very good friend who has helped me out several times and her son is C8's very best friend. The friend goes to private school so it's a rare occasion to have a middle of the week playdate. So I said sure but then told C8 that I really wanted to still get our core subjects done. We woke him up 30 minutes early and started 30 minutes early and boy oh boy was he focused. We did all of what we do for language arts (spelling, handwriting, MCT, and WWE) and went through a chapter of Zaccaro Math. I even was able to do some work with the kindergartener and C8 practiced piano. I know it's not about finishing as fast as you can....but it's still nice to see what he can do when he really is motivated. :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
