Night Elf
I don't know how else to word it. I mean people like postal workers, UPS, hair dresser, doctor, vet, etc. There is my awesome vet and her 3 staff. I've never given them anything before but I appreciate them so very much that I would love to do something. I'm thinking more along the lines of an office gift, rather than individual ones. I can only think about homemade baked goods. Is there anything else?
Tigger
For me... Postal carrier (she's been our postal carrier for six years) - the max allowed this year is $20 value and it can't be (by law) money or gift cards; she really likes coffee, so I put together a variety of blends of a high-end brand, find a nice basket and wrap it up in cellophane & a bow (much less expensive than a pre-made basket) UPS Guy (he's been our delivery guy for six years too) - gift card to the local restaurant he and his family like to frequent Hairdresser - I give her a double-tip at my December appointment Pedicure person - I give her a double-tip at my December appointment Nanny - one week pay + a small gift from the kids (this year it is a Kate Spade purse I found on sale that is really exactly the type of purse she loves) Swim Team Coaches - three that work with DS, for each I got Starbucks gift cards since they're always drinking Starbucks during practice! Piano Teacher - since he and his wife just had a baby, I got a gift certificate for a delivery of dinner from the local delivery service that has 30-40 restaurants to choose from in the area DH's office staff - all receive a bonus and then gifts during the office Christmas Party, which we host for them and their families; we have Santa visit and any of their children, age 16 and under, receive a present from Santa I don't send gifts to my doctors, or any other professionals, but did send a basket of goodies to the office of my OB following the baby's delivery in January. Night Elf
For me... Postal carrier (she's been our postal carrier for six years) How do you give it to her? Do you see her regularly? I recognize our carrier so I know she's had our route for a while now. However, I've never talked with her. She always drops the mail off and then leaves without me even knowing. Our mailbox is up a long driveway, but she drives to our house to drop off the packages.

Mine hardly ever comes down our driveway (it's long), but we have a driveway alarm (living in the country at the end of a long driveway, it's great to have), so I know when someone is heading down to the house....more often than not it's UPS, but when it's her, I have her package ready - she will at least need to come down a few times this time of the year, always does - right now I'm in the waiting pattern for when she does!
