Jane Elliot
I've had four major appliances break this week: washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator. I've had a repairman fix the dishwasher and refrigerator, but it might be wiser to replace the washer and dryer (Whirlpool Duet front loader, 7yrs old). Anyone have any experience with the Whirlpool Cabrio top loader that Costco sells?
Shellers
I have a Whirlpool Cabrio but I'm not sure if it's the same one Costco sells. My machine is a piece of junk. It broke down at six months and again at 11 months. Thankfully it was under warranty but that has expired now. Next time it breaks down (I'm expecting a break down within six months) I will be replacing it. Google "Whirlpool Cabrio F51 Error". Here's a site dedicated to this piece of junk and the F51 error. JudoMom
I don't know about that one, but I love my LG Top loader and dryer. They are absolutely positively ginormous! And they had good ratings on Consumer Reports this summer (very near the top, I think). You might want to consider getting a 1 month subscription to Consumer Reports online before you buy. QueenCat
I LOVE my Whirlpool Cabrio set. We have both the washer and dryer. Clothes clean well, and dry nicely. I really like how well it handles my delicates and sweaters. I've had the washer for a couple of years, and the dryer for a few months. CR is a good idea. I used to have an online subcription and it was worth every penny. My sister has an LG top loader and she loves hers too.
