Good mousetrap car instructions?

I want to make a mousetrap car kit for my boys for Christmas. There are a lot of sites out there, mostly selling things.

 

Anyone ever make one of these and have a good, easy to follow site?

I have never made a mousetrap car, but I can only imagine the finger-crushing results if I tried. :tongue_smilie:

 

I would hope that the instruction sheet would include some helpful tips...

 

1. Do not snap mousetrap closed on your finger.

2. Do not snap mousetrap closed on your sister's finger.

3. Do not snap mousetrap closed on the cat's tail.

4. Do not put loaded mousetrap on your mother's favorite chair.

5. Do not put dog treats in loaded mousetrap and then leave it on the floor in the kitchen.

I know! My brother made one in high school (20 years ago) but I've never made one. I think my older boys would like to do this.

 

I don't think the younger ones should play with mousetraps so we'll build rubber-band soda can cars with them.
