KungFuPanda
I was trying to not take the easy way out and just ask the hive, so I googled to find out what cooking shows were on Netflix. I got directed to an old thread on here. ALL roads lead to The Hive. SOOOO, rather than google my next question I'll just ask you guys. Is there a gadget for projecting movies on the wall that you all could recommend? I'm thinking of co-op situations where you want to show a big screen video, but don't want to lug a TV around. Maybe something that works with a disc or thumb drive or is compatible with my iGadgets. Does it exist?

ThisIsTheDay
There is something my library offers for use (if you are in a conference room, for example) that will project your computer screen onto a wall. People use it for conferences. Is this what you mean? But I don't know the technical name of it.

It has a dvd player so if you have a DVD, it works. But there is also a spot to connect a USB cord to play something from a computer. I took it on our women's retreat one year since we were watching dvds. It worked out great.
AK_Mom4
For DS15's Eagle Scout Ceremony last week, we borrowed a projector from the church. It plugged right into my laptop and displayed what was on the laptop screen onto a white wall so we could run a slide show for everyone to see. So if you could play the movie on your computer, it woruld work. The one we used was like this one http://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-PJD5133-SVGA-DLP-Projector/dp/B005EV1R8Y/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1322877231&sr=1-

Tap
We have an In Focus projector. I don't know if this is the exact one we have but it is the same concept. We project movies on the wall with it for movie nights by attaching it to our laptop.
TexasRachel
This is compatible with iphone and ipod: mini projector Homeschool Movie Club on facebook recommended it. We have this. It's pretty cool. We've used walls, ceilings, and sheets as the background. Not exceptional quality, but still pretty good.
