Parsley flakes in place of fresh chopped parsley?

Do you really use 1/2 cup of parsley for the stuffing?


The general rule is to use 1/3 of the amount of dried spices in place of fresh spices. However, I would defer to the more experienced ones on whether or not you should make the extra trip to the grocery store. I would probably just go and buy the fresh because I would be afraid it wouldn't turn out right.

You can use 1/4 cp of dried flakes. Parsley isn't one of those overpowering herbs, so even if you used a little too much, I doubt it would be noticeable. I had a lasagna recipe that called for 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, and I use 1/4 cp of flakes. I get compliments on it all the time. I wouldn't stress over fresh parsley.
