Farrar
:glare: Totally broken. Actually, the lenses are fine, but I needed them replaced anyway so that doesn't do me much good. It's my own fault for leaving them next to where I was doing stuff, sitting on the floor... Sigh. Now I can't drive anywhere until I get new ones. Dh held up the lenses and was like, "Pipe cleaner craft project?"
Starr
Guess we know where to find you tomorrow. :D Sorry!
girligirlmom
I'm sorry, that stinks! I keep seeing people mention this site, although you couldn't get them tomorrow but the prices are great. http://www.zennioptical.com/ Do you happen to have an old pair? Farrar
I looked on Zenni, but most of the frames were making me cringe, to be honest. I'm sure there's some gems in there, but I'm not sure I have it in me to sort through to find them. Someone just recommended to me Warby Parker and they have a nice business philosophy and some nice frames, but they're more expensive than Zenni, that's for sure. I was actually going to go get new ones recently, but my favorite shop was closed for remodels indefinitely. So I guess that's not happening. :( Bleh. sgo95
 :( I feel your pain. Six months ago I bought a new pair of glasses that cost $500+ (I always get the thinnest lenses possible because my prescription is super strong). A month after I bought those, I took nap with my two year old and left the glasses within his reach on a side table (my own fault, obviously). I wake up to find him playing with my glasses, only he's actually managed to twisted an earpiece completely into two pieces. :svengo: Thankfully I have older glasses to use for now, but that was not a happy day for me. :grouphug: and I hope you're able to replace them soon. Teachin'Mine
I'd bring the lenses, and the broken frames, to any optical shop and ask them what frames they have which would work. Worst case scenario, they'd have to grind the lenses a bit to fit. That would get you by until new glasses could be made. Sounds like you'll need to find a new optical shop for this set anyway. Haven't used them in years, but LensCrafters might work - they used to advertise new glasses in an hour. AuntieM
Oh, bummer! DS17 was just saying that my glasses are like a cat, they should have broken many times but keep turning up unhurt. Your post reminds me that I should have a spare pair handy. Hope you get replacements soon.

I just asked my friend about this place 2 hours ago. I have used Coastalcontacts, but this time I want to try this Zennioptical.com. Their prices are amazing! I will order a pair of glasses and see if I like them.
