Remudamom
Okay, David Tennant and Billie Piper are my favs, and on Amazon they are the second season. How can they be only the second season? I thought the Doctor has been around much longer than that??
Mrs Mungo
Okay, David Tennant and Billie Piper are my favs, and on Amazon they are the second season. How can they be only the second season? I thought the Doctor has been around much longer than that?? The revamped the series with Doctor #9 and restarted the numbering. So, Doctor #9 is featured in season one of the new series. Does that help?
mbholly
It is the second season of the "new" BBC series. I don't really know too much about the earlier shows. We only started watching with Doctor 9. I do remember watching much earlier versions with my dad growing up so it has been around for a while. I think the older shows were numbered and some are available on Amazon.

jelbe5
I am new to Dr. Who, also. Per my more experienced older dd the older shows with Doctors 1-7 are called "classic Dr. Who". Then there was a break, then a made for tv movie with the 8th Doctor, another break, then the revived series began with 9, 10 and now 11.:001_smile:
