Willow Creek Academy
My 4 year old is just finishing R&S "About 3" and has loved it. I am thinking about moving on to the ABC Series and then combining the older two (K and 1) with something to be decided since the 1st has some delays. With the ABC series - Do you do it in order? Or do you skip around? It doesn't reall say on the site.
boscopup
I've done it in order. I think it does go by skills. Book A is easier than book D, for example. Book B is just a coloring book, so we skipped it. We've done book A and book C, starting when DS2 was 3.5. We didn't finish book C until he was about 4.5, since we only did it on occasion. I really liked the way they taught some basic skills for preschoolers. My son didn't know colors or how to count to 10 before he started, and these books taught both of those and how to write their numbers. I love the sayings they use for teaching numbers. It's the same ones that CLE Math uses in their 100 level.
2_girls_mommy
I agree, the skills build on each other. Go in order, except for the B (Bible.) The Bible coloring book is a good one to buy for the other kids too. We had 2 copies so that they could both color while I read the stories.
