Does anyone use TOG/Writing Aids AND WWE?

I'm thinking of trying to work this out for my 2nd grader. We love WWE, and I just can't imagine leaving it behind. I also like the looks of the TOG assignments and do them with my 2nd grader sometimes. I'm considering just purchasing Writing Aids and doing both.

If you do this, have you found it to be a good balance? Too much work? How do you lay out your week?

Right now we're finishing WWE 1, and we do it in 3 days per week. I thought I could potentially just plan on 5 days of writing every week and use Writing Aids on the 2 days we aren't doing WWE. We'll be finishing WWE1 in about 2 weeks.

:bigear: I have been contemplating the same thing, although we will be doing 1st grade. I love the looks of WWE 1 but it does seem a little light. So I was thinking of adding in Writing Aids and, if necessary, just trimming it down a bit (if possible).

I plan to start doing this after the new year. My third grader is in WWE 2 and we condense it into 3 days. I already use WA (among other things) to teach writing on the other days so the only difference will be that I plan to start using TOG assignments. I think it will be pretty easy to do this. I won't do both with my first grader. I will just continue doing narrations with him alongside WWE. I find narrations more age appropriate than TOG's writing assignments at the first grade level. JMO.
