Janie Grace
Ha ha! I have never ironed my sheets but I did fold my undies until about two years ago. THE FREEDOM!

GingerPoppy
No and no. :) When I was a nanny, one of my duties was ironing dishtowels, undershirts, bedsheets, and all kinds of ridiculous stuff. I decided NEVER AGAIN!
Onceuponatime
You think that's weird? I used to know someone who ironed her family's underwear. She loved to iron. Crazy.
Veritaserum
No and no. If the underwear and sheets are clean, that's good enough! :)
linguistmama
No for both. :) I don't even fold sheets anymore, I just put the whole set inside one of the pillowcases. My girls have a few dresses that we hang up, but other than that all their clothing goes in bins under their bunk bed unfolded.
Liz CA
You think that's weird? I used to know someone who ironed her family's underwear. She loved to iron. Crazy. You know my Mom, then! She ironed cloth diapers.

Daisy
I fold my undergarments because it is the only way I can fit my pjs, socks, and other unmentionables into the same drawer and STILL find what I need. Ironing sheets? No. I iron dress shirts, slacks, dresses, skirts, and cotton curtains. That's it.
Myeightkiddies
Undergarments - Yes. Sheets - No.
CAMom
How do you all fit your underwear into the drawer without folding them? I have dividers in my drawer. Underwear neatly folded in on section, bras in the next and my bathing suit and other misc. items in the other. Sheets? I don't iron them. But, I do iron a ton of other things.;)
~Tara~
LOL I am a recovering undies folder. I went from cute little squares to 'meh, fold it in half, that'll do' to not caring if they are inside out :D Oh and I don't pair socks anymore either. Aaaaaaaaah. Bliss. And heck no I don't iron my sheets. Never. I'm not sure I even recall how to use an iron. I *do* own one, but, it just collects dryer lint in my laundry room. :D

EmilyinND
I fold undies but do not iron bed sheets or anything else... I know someone who does iron the sheets, she loves that crisp feeling. No thanks!
PinkInTheBlue
Uh, no and no. LOL I do lay my undies flat in my drawer and fold my husband's boxers but not compulsively. :) They just all fit in the drawers better that way. (no pun intended)

Mommyof4ks
Haha, no I don't do either. I used to fold undies, because my mom did. One day I could not give a good reason why I needed to do that when they were a mess in the drawer anyway, so I stopped.
DesertDweller
I've never ironed a bed sheet, and I throw my undies in the drawer.

mrsrevmeg
I fold undies. Certain sheets do get ironed, especially if they are not put on the bed right after they finish drying. I don't like sleeping on wrinkles and my snobby son (that has easily wrinkled sheets) doesn't, either.
PinkInTheBlue
What I'm curious about is what kind of undies are you ironing? I can't quite picture that. I can imagine being able (not that I would) to iron my husband's boxers but mine? I can't see that working. Hmmm... Am I trying to picture everyone's undies now? LOL!!

gingersmom
Not a chance. My mother used to send our sheets to the dry cleaners and they came back perfectly. I used to take my sheets out of dryer and roll up in a ball just to horrify my mother. Wrinkled sheets is almost as bad as homeschooling for her. JMDRAD
Then you're weird. That's all. I fold mine and my husband's but not the kids'. Iron bedsheets???? Yes, that's weird.
unsinkable
I don't even fold my towels! I have a clean towel hamper and the peeps just help themselves. It is super easy to tell when we need more clean towels!

amyable
After at least 12 years of marriage my husband all of a sudden decided he wanted his underwear folded. :glare: I still love him anyway. But I think I keep my underwear drawer extra messy just as a counterbalance to the insanity. Danestress
Undies. Why would undies need ironing? I love how it feels to get into a nicely made bed with starched sheets. I usually just iron the top 24 inches or so - to make it lie flat. I don't have the patience for a full on ironing, and if you take them out straight from the dryer, it doesn't usually seem necessary. But I do like to iron the "cuff." Aubrey
No for both. :) I don't even fold sheets anymore, I just put the whole set inside one of the pillowcases. Thia
Undies, socks, bras, and the like get stuffed into the same drawer unfolded. It saves a BUNCH of time. I do fold my husband's underwear at his request. Iron? What's that? About once a year when there's a special event of some sort.
TravelingChris
No and no. Who has the time, the energy to do that? Well, wait- my dh's undershirt get rolled to fit nicely in the drawers but those are like t-shirts and I don't consider them undies.

BatmansWife
I don't put dirty undies back in the drawer. Where would the confusion happen? Well....when it comes to my son, he does. No....just kidding. Actually, I've all too often found his clean ones lying on the bedroom floor. I fold his clothes and give them to him telling him to put them away. Somewhere between being handed his clean folded clothing and entering his room he'll conveniently forget to put them away. Then....when it comes time to empty his laundry basket to wash clothes.....there are boxers in there that appear to be folded. :glare: Hopefully you understand what I meant now. :001_smile:
