lynn
Would you or have you bought yourself one just so you can play with her? I want to get dd tea table and tea set for her doll but having just 1 doll just does not seem right. I thought I'd get myself one. Is that weird? Now if mother had kept my Crissy doll I'd still have one to play with.
bookfiend
Are you kidding? Half the reason to have children is so that you can play with their toys!

MrsMommy
I think that you would win major awesome mom points! I have my 20+ years old doll, and I still occasionally think about getting another one to have to play with my girls. And if they ever announce that they're retiring Molly, I probably will get her! Certainly you can order a second doll for your dd and use it, right? :D
zaichiki
I dunno. I can dress a doll. I can do doll hair. I can set up doll house furniture with my kids and even pose the dolls. But "play" with a doll? Do voices and make up a story line? Nope. Can't do it. Sorry. Thank goodness for dd's little friends! ETA: Of course I used to play dolls when I was a kid, but I'm an ol' fogey now. Ha!
Hilltop
I think that sounds like so much fun! I would definitely do it if I only had one daughter.
AHASRADA
You could just buy "a friend" for your dd's doll. That way, she has two dolls to play with. She can create imaginative scenarios with both dolls, play with friends when they come over, or with you. Unless of course you are really dying to have your own doll. Then, go ahead, why not? Lots of adult women collect dolls no biggie. But, if your excuse is to play with your dd, just get her a second doll. ;)
catz
I would have, but my husband bought me one first. :D My daughter was an infant! Do it!
Donna
I just bought my daughter two dolls and play with her. :001_smile:
Jennifer3141
I *only* have one daughter and I cannot imagine having one doll in the house!! I think we have 7 or 8 AG dolls. We all love playing with them - DH and DS included.
Amy713
Absolutely get the doll! You are a terrific mom! Unfortunately, I loathe playing dolls and my only dd knows it. :( Maybe Santa should bring me a doll for Christmas???

Then she can play with them together by herself and when you are available you can play with one and she can play with the other.
