fairfarmhand
since he's outgrown his crib. He told me to buy a new bed for his dad and he would sleep with me in my bed. :glare: (FTR he's never been allowed to sleep in the bed with me and dh, because we CANNOT sleep with a child in the bed with us) It was funny! Truscifi
Too cute! Ds is 8 today and still would give the same answer. His favorite night of the week is the night dh closes at work, because he gets to sleep in with me.

Denise in Florida
When dd1 was 2.5 we were expecting dd2 I knew we would keep the baby in a cradle in our room for a few months but then move her into the kids' room in the crib. I was worried that dd1 would think the baby was 'taking' her space, so I bought her a twin bed ahead of time and a friend gave her Barney sheets to make it special. We were setting up the 'big girl' bed and folding up the crib when dd1 became hysterical. I was just thinking that we would need to get a 2nd crib and let dd1 keep the first one when she calmed down enough to say ..."Dont take the crib, where will the baby sleep?" She was waaaaayyy ahead of us and ready for the baby to be in her room with her. It never stopped, she was the little mama and kept trying to tell me how to raise her little sister.

LOL. So cute. Sounds just like my ds. I kept him in his crib until he was past age 3. I tried to bluff him about how dangerous it would be for him to crawl out of it himself....one day after nap time I heard the pitter patter of his little feet running down the hall...he was pleased as punch with himself...told me all about how he climbed out. Sigh. It was off to buy him a bed.
