Journey
Ya Hoooo! thank you SO much! By the way....we are having 11-12 people for Thanksgiving....how big a turkey should I get? I'd like to have some for leftovers for my girls and me and my mom and dad, is there even a turkey big enough for that many leftovers? Can you tell i don't cook turkey much! Laurie4b
I've used them for years. Love it. The turkey is always juicy. AND it cooks SO much faster so I am don't have to start cooking so early.
Sandy in Indy
I figure if I'm going to the trouble of cooking a turkey, I might as well cook a BIG one. I always look for 22-25 lbs...and I always cook it upside down in a bag. It's not pretty when it comes out, but it's really moist from the breast sitting in all the broth. Yum! Kim in Appalachia
Those are the best. I forgot to buy a pack when I bought my turkey. I'll need to do that this week if I can find them. Thanks for the reminder.:001_smile:
MeaganS
We always brine our turkeys and use a turkey bag. I've never had a dry turkey with that combination. The only downside is that the skin on the turkey isn't crispy. That's not an issue for us as no one eats the skin, but for some people it might be a problem. I highly recommend them!
