SJ.
I have an appointment for a spray tan friday morning. If you can't tell by my title, I am pretty nervous. I have seen people who have gotten a tan from this particular spa and it always looked natural - but this was in the summer. Any tips or suggestions? Experience? I was told to exfoliate really well and keep my skin hydrated this week, to be sure to shave the morning of the tan, and not to wear lotion or makeup to the tan. It was also suggested not to shave again until the morning of the wedding.
Cinder
I have no personal experience, but I want to add--Don't get a pedi after your tan. A friend did the spray tan before she went on vacation, then went to get a pedi, and the part where they oil & massage your lower leg . . . yeah, the tan got massaged right off!
LidiyaDawn
I am pretty nervous. Do you WANT to do this? If not - please don't let anyone else convince you that you need to change your skin colour.
Night Elf
Do you WANT to do this? If not - please don't let anyone else convince you that you need to change your skin colour. I know, right? My very first thought was Negative Ghostwriter!! I'm just too afraid of coming out looking like an Oompah Loompah! :D But hey, if you want to do it, then go for it. I haven't had it done but I've known a couple of people who did and they were happy with the results.
SJ.
LOL - I don't want to look like an Oompah Loompah either! No one is pushing me to have a tan for the wedding. Some of the bridesmaids are and some aren't. I am hoping to cover some skin discoloration/scarring on my upper arms and upper back. My worry is looking too dark - I don't want to look like I just came back from a month in the Caribbean! I am blonde with slightly fair skin so I just want a little color, too much would probably look ridiculous on me.
