Would he enjoy joining the (small) trend of men who are returning to traditional wet-shaving and using old-school double-edged razor blades? The blades are much (much) less expensive and the results are (once past a learning curve) better, but there is an element of skill (and manliness) involved in using a double-edge, single-edge, or straight-edge razor. The modern multi-bladed cartridge razors can deliver a pretty good shave, even when used "thoughtlessly." Traditional wet-shaving is much more zen-like. Some guys just want to "get her done" (and have no interest in re-claiming lost arts) while some fall in love with the manly ritual.
