pgr
Another resource question... I've recently been directed to consult a "writer's handbook". Will any title do the job comparatively well, or is there a particular one that y'all would recommend? Thank you! :grouphug:
ChrissySC
I like Writer's Express and Write Source handbooks. One is middle school and the last is high school. These are not style books. For a style book, you could use the Writer's Toolbox, but I truly like the Blue Book. Jay3fer
I don't think it's a handbook, as such, but for any kind of serious writing I recommend Strunk & White (Elements of Style). I think any edition would be fine. It's surprisingly readable, too. (at least, imho)

Kareni
I like Writer's Express and Write Source handbooks. One is middle school and the last is high school. I like these, too. Great Source publishes several other writing handbooks in addition to those named above. My oldest even took her copy of Write for College with her when she left for university. (If interested, I have a few of these writing handbooks for sale on the For Sale board.) Regards, Kareni
