lamolina
I saw a cursive program the other day where the copywork was useful facts about science etc. But now I can't remember what it was! I just don't want to waste time having her copy silly statements when she could (maybe) be learning something! Anyone know what program I am trying to remember? I wouldn't mind a program where the copywork is religious either. Thanks!
helena
Listening in.. :bigear: We're using Pictures in Cursive right now (almost done). It's picture study and cursive together. It's very light, but pleasant. http://rainbowresource.com/prodlist.php?subject=9&category=9205
ErinD
Take a look on currclick.com at the Happy Scribe products. I got a lot of copywork for everything from famous scientists to famous explorers to country-and time-period specific copywork (such as Ancient Egypt). I think I paid 2 or 3 dollars for each. It has been incredibly helpful since you can print in either regular or in cursive, so I did regular printing when she did Egypt the first time and cursive the second time. When we're not studying a specific country I break out the other ones.
Cosmos
Probably not what you meant, but the Getty-Dubay Italic program uses science as a unifying theme in their 4th grade book. Samples here. The other grades have themes as well. Fifth grade focuses on figures of speech, sixth grade focuses on the history of writing.
lamolina
These are great! None are the one I saw, so still waiting on more ideas!?
boscopup
Was it Pentime? I think they have a theme running through each book... They're available from Rainbow Resource.
ByGrace3
I know Classically Cursive and A Reason for Handwriting use Bible verses, etc for copywork.
lamolina
This is driving me crazy! I have looked at all your very kind suggestions, but none are what I saw the other day. I have even gone back through my computer's history but I can not find it! It was just a cursive program with practice pages where they were writing these great sentences! Whatever I was looking at you could click on the samples and see a full page. Ugh, someone help me please I am going to spend all night looking for cursive! (although I do like those pages on Currclick and Classically Cursive looks great too, so thanks!)
isitnaptime
I'm stalking you, ha! Was it something on Queens Homeschool? Copywork for girls or animal lovers?
lamolina
I think it might have been the cursive workbook from Logic of English, but she is working on her website and now you can't see samples of it anymore. I am going to check back again later and see if that was it.

lamolina
Bumping this up just in case someone knows what this might be! It ended up not being Logic of English either. Any other ideas I should check!?
